The Kruger National Park is regarded by many the world over as one of the most exciting National parks on earth. It is one of the largest Game Reserves in Africa at just shy of 20,000 square kms and is regarded by many as the best reserve to sight most of southern Africa's game, including the Big 5.
The southern border of the Kruger is the mighty Crocodile River, and inside the largest ox-bow of the Crocodile River is Marloth Park Conservancy. Marloth has many animal species that live in the park and, although there is a game fence separating most of Marloth Park from the Kruger, there are still areas where animals can wander in. So from time to time there are still sightings of "non-residents" such as lions.
Just off Kingfisher road, surrounded by Bushwillow trees, you will find Lala Ehlathini Bush Lodge. Completed in 2011, the lodge was built with one thing in mind: to make as little impact on the surrounding bush as possible! The benefit being that the wildlife are still happy to roam around the building, it is not unusual to see animals such as Zebra, Kudu, Warthog, Impala, and Wildebeest taking shelter beside the 3.5m high stilts, many even taking up residence underneath the house from time to time. Or you might experience the local Ostrich sticking his head through the steps to find out what all the noise upstairs is about! You will enjoy all that the African Bush has to offer, while still enjoying the comfort and amenities of home in this luxurious tree-top Lodge.
Whatever your experiences, a stay at Marloth Lodge will always be memorable!
